JEFFERSON COUNTY,  COLO. – Jeffco Country Deputies arrested Daryl Glenn Brown, 45, on Feb 14,  for suspicion of murdering his ex-wife, Alisha Brown, 30.

Alisha Brown’s body was found in her home at 14192 W. Fourth Ave. by a concerned neighbor on Dec. 30, 2009. The neighbor was scheduled to meet the victim at her home. When she didn’t respond to the doorbell or several phone calls, the neighbor peered through a window and saw her body on the floor.

First responders had to force entry into the home. The official cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.

“The whole thing was just tragic, I mean, a very sweet, dear, life of a good woman was cut short at the hands of someone; She is missed dearly,” said neighbor and friend Misty Wise.

Jefferson County public information officer, Jacki Kelley, said, investigators logged several hours putting together a thorough and complete investigation of this case.

The suspect was arrested without incident after he turned himself into police in the presence of his attorney in Fort Collins.

Daryl Glenn Brown is currently being held without bond in the Jefferson County Detention Center. He was charged with first-degree murder and domestic violence.
